Hammond passed over for Game 4 start

Published Apr. 22, 2015 2:36 p.m. ET

The biggest question ahead of Wednesday night's Game 4 between the Senators and Canadiens was who would get the start in net: new sensation Andrew Hammond or old stand-by Craig Anderson.

Sens fans got their answer Wednesday morning, as coach Dave Cameron revealed it would be Anderson in net for the biggest game of the season.

"I don't make any decision lightly," Cameron told the Ottawa Citizen. "A lot of thought goes into anything. Anderson has a proven playoff record of being a real good goalie."

Anderson has 24 playoff games under his belt and holds a 10-13 career postseason record with a .928 career playoff save percentage. He stopped 47 of 49 shots in a 2-1 Game 3 overtime loss to the Canadiens on Sunday.
