Florida Panthers re-sign forward Brett Olson

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 5:39 p.m. ET

The Florida Panthers have re-signed forward Brett Olson to a one-year, two-way contract, the team announced Thursday.

Olson, 28, spent all of last season with Florida's minor-league affiliate in San Antonio, recording 14 goals and 45 points in 76 games to finish as the team's fourth-leading scorer.

In three seasons since going undrafted out of Michigan Technological University, the Superior, Wisconsin, native has tallied 39 goals and 107 points in 221 American Hockey League contests.

With San Antonio's leading scorer, Bobby Butler, unlikely to re-sign with the team this offseason, look for Olson to play an even bigger role for the Rampage next season.
