BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Kaleb Higgins scored 29 points as CSU Bakersfield beat UCSD 70-57 on Thursday.
Higgins was 8 of 17 shooting, including 4 for 11 from 3-point range, and went 9 for 9 from the line for the Roadrunners (12-17, 7-11 Big West Conference). Marvin McGhee shot 6 for 12, including 3 for 9 from beyond the arc to add 15 points. Tom Mark was 5 of 9 shooting and 2 of 3 from the free throw line to finish with 12 points.
The Tritons (19-10, 13-4) were led by Tyler McGhie, who posted 16 points, eight rebounds and two steals. Bryce Pope added 14 points for UCSD. In addition, J'Raan Brooks finished with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Both teams play Saturday. CSU Bakersfield visits Cal Poly and UCSDplays CSU Northridge on the road.
