OSLO, Norway (AP) — Veteran coach Bob Bradley is returning to Stabaek at least until the end of the year in the Norwegian league.

The former head coach of the U.S. men’s national team spent two seasons with the club in Norway in 2014 and 2015.

Stabaek announced the deal on Sunday, saying Bradley had signed an agreement until the end of the year with the intention to extend.

The club's chairman, Espen Moe, said Bradley was a clear leader with a capacity to motivate a group of players.

Bradley, who has worked with clubs in England’s Premier League, in France and regularly in Major League Soccer, most recently with Toronto FC, said he was looking forward to starting work Monday.

The club is next-to-last in the 16-team league with four wins, four draws and 11 losses from 19 games.

“We had two very good years here last time and I followed the club and kept in touch with many people since I left," Bradley said in a statement. “I know that there is a lot that needs to be done in a short time, and we have discussed a lot about how we can take the club forward in the right direction.”
