Shamrock (1-0) defeated fellow MMA rookie Josh Besneatte, 13 years his senior, by first-round submission in his professional debut in August, needing just 98 seconds to cinch a fight-ending choke. The 19-year-old recently agreed to a multi-fight deal with the Cage Rage promotion's parent company, Pro Elite Inc.
Unbeaten through two fights, Andrews (2-0) has ended each of his bouts inside one round. He stopped Danny Beevor by first-round TKO at Cage Rage "Contenders 7" in November.
Meanwhile, Ken Shamrock (26-12-2) will square off with Robert Berry in the main event at Cage Rage 25. The soon-to-be 44-year-old has lost seven of his past nine fights, including four straight. He last competed in October 2006, when he succumbed to strikes against arch rival Tito Ortiz. It was Shamrock's third loss to the former UFC light heavyweight champion, all three by TKO.
"I think I'm more excited than nervous about fighting on the same card with my dad," Ryan Shamrock said. "If anything, it gives me more incentive. I get the chance to show that there is another Shamrock out there who can compete as well as he can.''
