Oklahoma State junior guard James Anderson and Oklahoma sophomore guard Willie Warren were among six players named Thursday to the 2009-10 preseason All-Big 12 basketball team. Kansas teammates Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich were named preseason co-players of the year. They were joined on the preseason All-Big 12 squad by Texas forward Damion James and Iowa State forward Craig Brackins. A tie in the voting created six spots on the all-conference squad, which was voted upon by league coaches. Brackins and Collins were unanimous choices. Texas guard Avery Bradley hasn't yet played a college game, but he was an honorable mention all-league selection along with Kansas State guard Dennis Clemente and Texas center Dexter Pittman. Bradley, who was chosen the preseason freshman of the year, played for a 33-0 team last season and averaged 19.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.6 steals. Iowa State forward Marquis Gilstrap, a transfer from Gulf Coast Community College in Florida, was voted the preseason newcomer of the year. He averaged 22.6 points and 10.1 rebounds in his only season at the junior college.
