"We expect it could happen as soon as tomorrow or in the next week," Alabama-based attorney Don Jackson told FOXSports.com. "We've given the NCAA everything they've asked for."
One of the most talented freshmen in the country, the 6-foot-9 Sidney has been under investigation by the NCAA due to potential amateurism issues.
However, Jackson said that his client should be cleared if the NCAA hasn't found any wrongdoing as part of the investigation.
"The bottom line is there's been no violation," Jackson said.
Jackson maintained that the family has turned over bank deposits and more than 2,000 pieces of documentation to the NCAA in an effort to get Sidney cleared so he can play the season opener for Mississippi State on Nov. 13 at home against Rider.

The NCAA met with Jackson in addition to representatives from Mississippi State on Friday.
"We didn't turn over bank statements," Jackson told FOXSports.com. "But they reviewed bank deposit information. They have all the information they need. In fact, I think they had enough before last Friday."
Sidney hails from Mississippi but lived in Los Angeles with his family for the last few years in high school. The Los Angeles Times wrote that the family rented a home valued at $1.2 million, but Jackson said it was actually a modest, three-bedroom house.
Sidney was held out of the team's exhibition victory against Oklahoma City this past weekend. He scored 19 points in the team's intra-squad scrimmage on Oct. 24 and could be the missing piece for a Bulldogs team that is capable of making a legitimate Final Four run.
"Frankly, there's no reason he shouldn't have already been cleared," Jackson said. "If he's done something wrong, someone needs to say something. If not, the family needs to be left alone."
Jackson said he was told on Friday that there may still be additional interviews this week.
"We're not opposed to that," he said. "But at this point, we hope to have a decision sometime this week or early next week."
