Boston College is expected to be without three players — including two starters — for its first two games of the season.

A source close to the situation told FOXSports.com that starters Rakim Sanders and Corey Raji as well as reserve big man Courtney Dunn have been suspended for violating team rules.

They will miss Friday's opener against Dartmouth and the Nov. 17 game against St. Francis (NY).

Sanders, a 6-foot-5 junior, averaged 12.9 points per game last season and is expected to take on more of the scoring load with the departure of Tyrese Rice.

The 6-foot-6 Raji started all 34 games a year ago and averaged 9.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. Dunn averaged 12.7 minutes per game but provides depth in the frontcourt.

This leaves Al Skinner's team with just seven scholarship players against a Dartmouth team that was picked to finish last in the Ivy League this season.
