Ebanks is considered one of the top players in the country and the cornerstone to the Hoosiers incoming recruiting class. He is ranked No. 13 in the country by Scout.com, but was snubbed by the McDonald's All-American committee even though sources maintained he received enough votes to be included in the game.

"I'm going to look for a school that had some of the same things I liked in Indiana," Ebanks told FOXSports.com on Wednesday afternoon. "I want to go somewhere I can develop, play right away and have a great relationship with my coach."

The talented 6-foot-8 New York native, who spent the past two seasons at St. Thomas More (Conn.), hasn't completely ruled out the Hoosiers — but it appears highly unlikely with the uncertainty regarding the coaching situation.

Ebanks and fellow signee, point guard Terrell Holloway, both had an addendum to the Big Ten letter-of-intent in which they would be allowed to get their release if Sampson was no longer the coach. Sampson was forced out last month.

"We'll still see what happens," Ebanks said. "I'm going to stay in contact and not going to completely write Indiana off."

Ebanks said he will try and take a few visits in the next month. The four schools he's considering are Texas, Memphis, Rutgers and West Virginia.

"Those are my top four and the only ones I'll look at," he added. "I'm going to schedule visits to all four of them."
