USC freshman guard O.J. Mayo has decided to declare for the NBA Draft, according to sources close to the Trojans program.

Mayo has not yet signed with an agent, but plans to do so.

The highly touted 6-foot-5 guard averaged 20.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the Trojans this past season.

USC lost to Kansas State in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

Mayo is a native of West Virginia who came to USC with the notion of playing in a big city and trying to take the program to the next level.

Mayo is considered a lottery pick by NBA executives.
