According to a source close to the Ohio State program, freshman Kosta Koufos has withdrawn from classes and will sign with an agent — which closes the door on returning to college.

The news was reported by the Canton Repository.

Koufos, a skilled 7-footer who averaged 14.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game last season, has decided that he will either go the NBA route — or even playing professionally overseas.

Koufos' mother is from Greece and there has been speculation that he could land a huge paycheck if he elects to go that route instead of the NBA.

Two NBA executives told FOXSports.com that Koufos will likely be taken in the mid-to-late first-round.
