Alabama junior big man Richard Hendrix is staying in the draft.

"He put his name in to stay in the draft and that's what he's doing," Hendrix's father, Venard, told FOXSports.com on Monday afternoon. "He's staying in."

The 6-foot-9, 255-pound Hendrix averaged 17.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game as a junior and also received his degree.

Hendrix is considered a potential late first-round pick.

"He hasn't really worried too much about that," the elder Hendrix said. "He just made the decision and wanted to see the process all the way through."

Fellow Alabama junior Ron Steele still hasn't made a decision on whether he'll return to Tuscaloosa for his senior campaign.
