Ohio University coach Tim O'Shea is going back to New England.

O'Shea, who interviewed for the openings at UMass and Providence and was also in the mix at Brown, will take the job at Bryant University in Rhode Island.

The official announcement came Monday afternoon.

It's no secret that O'Shea has wanted to return to New England. He grew up in Massachusetts, graduated and later coached at Boston College and has a house in Newport, Rhode Island.

Ohio went 20-13 last season and won the Mid-American Tournament in 2005.

Bryant will make the transition this coming season to Division I. Max Good recently left to join Bill Bayno's staff at Loyola Marymount.
