Penn State 89, HARTFORD 64: Stanley Pringle hit six 3-pointers and scored 23 points in the Philly Hoop Group Classic. Penn State (2-0) shot 15-for-25 from beyond the arc, matching the record it set against Purdue in 2001.

Illinois 69, VANDERBILT 63: Demetri McCamey scored 23 points for visiting Illinois (3-0).

Ohio State 70, DELAWARE ST. 42: Jeramie Simmons hit two 3-pointers in a 10-3 run at the outset and host Ohio State never trailed in its season opener.

Iowa 75, THE CITADEL 48: Anthony Tucker made seven 3-pointers to lead visiting Iowa (3-0). Tucker scored a game-high 21 points.

NOTES

Indiana: Nearly $500,000 in fees to lawyers handling allegations of NCAA rules violations by former basketball coach Kelvin Sampson and his staff has been spent by Indiana.
