Becker tops Coast Guard for 4th straight

MEN'S BASKETBALL

Becker 78, Coast Guard 68

Travis Suber (22 points), Michael Massey (20) and Trey Jacobs (19 points, 10 rebounds) lifted the visiting Hawks (5-2) to their fourth straight win.

UMass-Lowell 74, Assumption 65

Savoy Fraine scored 17 points and Patrick Shea had 11 in the loss for the visiting Greyhounds (5-4, 4-3 NE -10). Assumption trailed at halftime, 38-26.

Framingham State 77,

Anna Maria 47

Brad Peterson led the host AmCats (2-6) with 10 points, while Tyler Washington added 9 in the loss.

Brandeis 72, Clark 63

Jack Minister nailed seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points in the loss for the Cougars (4-3) in Waltham.

Nichols 68, Fisher 66

Chris Smith had 15 points and 19 rebounds for the visiting Bison (4-4).

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Assumption 65, UMass-Lowell 54

Bethany Plasski led all scorers with 21 points, while Molly Griffiths added 13 points and 6 rebounds off the bench, while freshman Kelly Meredith led the team in rebounding (7) for the visiting Greyhounds(7-2, 5-2 Northeast -10).

Union 68, WPI 51

Elle Fontaine had 17 points and 11 rebounds, but the host Engineers (4-3) lost to the Dutchmen (6-0), who started with a 16-4 spurt.

Nichols 55, Mount Holyoke 52

The visiting Bison (7-2) led by three points at the half and staved off a Mount Holyoke rally thanks to tough interior play from Jessica Nelson (15 points, 10 rebounds), Margaret Lilly (11 points, 7 rebounds) and MaryLynn Skarzenski (11 points, 6 rebounds).

WOMEN'S HOCKEY

Holy Cross 5, Wesleyan 2

Stacey Hochkins had four points (two goals, two assists) to lead the visiting Crusaders, who remain undefeated at 10-0-1.

MEN'S HOCKEY

Westfield State 5,

Worcester State 3

Lee Belisle assisted on the game's first goal and tied it up at 3-3 with a goal early in the second period for host Worcester State (3-6, 1-4 ECAC Northeast ) before the Owls (6-1-1, 5-1-1) scored twice inthe third period.

Stonehill 4, Assumption 3

Nick Blanchette had 61 stops, but his Greyhounds (1-7-1) fell whenBill Harris scored with 46 seconds left in overtime.
