Former Indiana guard Armon Bassett won't play a game at UAB.

The 6-foot-1 junior, who was forced to sit out this season after transferring from Indiana, is leaving UAB, according to sources close to the situation.

Bassett, an Indiana native who spent a year at Hargrave Military Academy (Va.), was booted out of the Hoosiers program by new coach Tom Crean.

Bassett averaged 11.4 points and 3.3 assists per game last season and led the Big Ten in three-point field goal percentage.

However, he was suspended last season for failing multiple drug tests and was dismissed shortly after Crean took over after the end of last season.
