Michael Washington had 24 points and 11 rebounds, and host Arkansas handed No. 4 Oklahoma its first loss of the season, 96-88 on Tuesday night.

The Razorbacks (10-1) led by 25 points in the second half before the Sooners nearly pulled off a sensational rally. Oklahoma (12-1) cut the margin to 81-77, but Washington scored Arkansas' next seven points to enable the Hogs to hold on.

Freshman Courtney Fortson had 12 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds for Arkansas.

Illinois 71, No. 9 Purdue 67 (OT): Mike Tisdale scored 18 points, and the Fighting Illinois upset the host Boilermakers (11-3) in the Big Ten opener for both teams.

Mike Davis added 12 points, for the Fighting Illini (13-1).

Elsewhere in the Top 25: Jeff Teague scored 11 of his 19 points in the second half, and No. 6 Wake Forest (12-0) beat visiting Radford (4-9) 83-61. ... Eric Devendorf and Andy Rautins both hit three 3-pointers in a six-minute span, and No. 13 Syracuse (13-1, 1-0 Big East ) beat visiting Seton Hall (9-4, 0-1) 100-76. ... Terrence Oglesby had six 3-pointers, and No. 20 Clemson improved to 13-0 with a 98-87 victory over visiting South Carolina (9-2). ... Shelvin Mack made five 3-pointers in the first seven minutes of the second half, and No. 25 Butler (11-1) rallied from an 11-point deficit for a 72-68 victory over visiting UAB (8-5).

Elsewhere: Senario Hillman scored 17 points to lead host Alabama (9-3) to an 86-58 win over Quincy (6-3). ... Greivis Vasquez scored 10 of his 17 points during a 21-2 second-half run, and host Maryland (10-2) pulled away for a 76-50 win over Elon (4-5). ... Leon Buchanan scored 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead Morehead State (5-8) to a 71-61 win over host East Tennessee State (8-4). ... C.J. Reed scored 14 points to lead Bethune-Cookman (6-6) to a 55-29 victory over host Savannah State (7-6). ... Zachery Peacock scored 22 points, and Georgia Tech (8-4) overcame 21 turnovers to beat visiting Tennessee State (3-9) 63-58.

WOMEN

No. 18 Florida 75, Miami (Ohio) 56: Steffi Sorensen scored 14 points, and Sha Brooks and Marshae Dotson added 12 apiece as the Gators beat the visiting RedHawks (8-4) in the championship game of the State Farm Classic.

Florida (13-1) set a school record with its 13th consecutive victory.

Elsewhere in the Top 25: Danielle Gant scored 27 points to lead No. 3 Texas A&M (11-0) to an 83-51 win over No. 25 New Mexico (11-2) in College Station, Texas. ... Angie Bjorklund scored 14 points to help lead No. 8 Tennessee (10-2) past host Gonzaga (11-4) 77-58. ... DeWanna Bonner had 18 points and eight rebounds to lead No. 9 Auburn (14-0) to a 68-53 win over host Miami (9-4). ... Jacqua Williams scored 16 points to help No. 23 Georgia Tech (11-2) rout visiting Florida A&M (4-6) 77-42.

South Carolina 58, Jacksonville 50: Brionna Dickerson scored 16 points, and the host Gamecocks (7-5) held on to beat the Dolphins.

DaVina Hamilton scored 16 points off the bench for JU (5-6).

Valparaiso 58, North Florida 49: Aimee Litka scored 12 points, and the visiting Crusaders (5-5) made 20-of-25 free throws for a win over the Ospreys (2-9).
