SILVER CITY, N.M., June 4 -- Western New Mexico University issued the following news release:

The WNMU Department of Athletics is now accepting applications for assistant women's basketball coach. Submit a resume to Western New Mexico University, Department of Athletics- Greg Adams, PO Box 680, Silver City, NM 88062 or email adamsg@wnmu.edu RESPONSIBLITIES: Under general supervision of the head women's basketball coach, assist in all aspects including but not limited to recruiting, on-court coaching, scouting, game and practice preparation and overseeing the academic progress of student-athletes. Assist with the coordination of practices, budget management, games management, scheduling, travel, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Western New Mexico University, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, and the NCAA . MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required with previous college basketball coaching or competitive experience preferred. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Valid or ability to obtain a New Mexico driver's license and the ability to obtain a CDL license upon completion of requirements.
