Tyler Giannini, originally from Longmont, Colorado, is 6-10 and 250 pounds and a transfer from Lamar Community College. Chuck Kempf hails from Lake Villa, Illinois. The 6-8, 225-pound junior is a transfer from Trinidad Junior College. Giannini averaged ten points, eight rebounds, and two blocks last season while shooting 55 percent from the floor before suffering a shoulder injury. Overall, his team finished with a 29-7 record, good for a regional championship and a fifth place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) men's basketball national tournament. "Tyler comes from a great junior college program," states Coleman. "He was having a great year last year, but he injured his shoulder. I expect him to recover fully and be a big contributor for us next year." Giannini will major in business at WNMU. Kempf played in 30 games last year and averaged six points, five rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and one steal. His team finished with a 17-13 record and won their sub-regional. "Chuck has good size and shoots the ball well from the outside," says Coleman. Kempf shot 47 percent from the floor last season. "He can play either forward position and is very athletic," Coleman concludes. Kempf plans to major in movement science. The two transfer students joins the New Mexico Gatorade Player of the Year award winner Lucio Luttrell, who was signed last fall. For more information please contact: Sarabjit Jagirdar, Email:- htsyndication@hindustantimes.com
