The North Yarmouth, Maine, native also led her team in steals (5.2) and blocks (1.0) per game. She notched 15 double-doubles, including seven games where she scored more than 25 points. She also set the UMPI single-game scoring record this season with 49 points. The other members of the first team include Cara Sczepanski (University of Dallas); Jordan Osley (Mount Mary College); and (tie) Lauren Kamiyama (Chapman University); and Ally Tincknell (Finlandia University). St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) freshman guard Ashley McQuillan was named the AD3I rookie of the year. McQuillan, who hails from Brooklyn, New York, averaged 16 points. She was named AD3I player of the week twice and was named the student-athlete of the month in December. Carol Jue, head women's coach at Chapman University, was named the coach of the year. Jue led the Panthers to the NCAA tournament for the ninth consecutive year. Chapman won the AD3I Women's West Region Championship with victories over La Sierra and Nebraska Wesleyan. Chapman recorded its third straight 20-win season and the fifth in the past six seasons. The All-Independent Women's Basketball teams were selected today by the women's basketball coaches from AD3I member schools.
