The Tigers own a 20-10 (.667) lead in the all-time series, which began on Dec. 8, 1956, and has been played at least once every season since the 1994-95 campaign. Memphis is one of only three current Conference USA teams (UAB and UTEP) that can boast a winning all-time record against the Cougars. The Tigers bring a seven-game winning streak against the Cougars into this weekend's game. UH has not defeated the Tigers since a 66-53 decision on Feb. 5, 2005, inside Hofheinz Pavilion. Memphis has posted a 12-3 (.800) all-time record against the Cougars in Tennessee. The Cougars will be looking to snap a seven-game road losing streak against the Tigers. UH has not enjoyed a win against Memphis in Tennessee since a 76-73 victory on Feb. 16, 2002. ABOUT Memphis Winners of its last 11 games, Memphis comes into this weekend's game following an 85-64 win at Conference USA rival East Carolina on Wednesday. It was the Tigers' 48th straight win against a C-USA opponent. The Tigers are ranked No. 18 in the latest Associated Press poll and at No. 19 in the current ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll. This season, freshman guard Tyreke Evans leads the Tigers with 16.7 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Senior forward Robert Dozier ranks second on the team with 11.4 points per game, while senior guard Antonio Anderson has added 10.3 points per game. Junior forward Shawn Taggart tops the Tigers with 7.3 rebounds per contest. Head coach John Calipari is now in his ninth season at Memphis, posting a 236-68 (.776) record during that time. Calipari is in his 17th season overall as a head coach and has tallied a 429-139 (.755) all-time record. He is 13-3 (.813) all-time against the Cougars. UP NEXT FOR Houston Following the Memphis game, the Cougars continue their road swing when it faces C-USA rival UCF at 6 p.m. (CST), Wednesday, in Orlando, Fla.
