SIENA TO PLAY GEORGIA TECH
by PETE IORIZZO , The Times-Union
The Siena men's basketball team has reached an oral agreement to play games against Georgia Tech each of the next three seasons, Saints coach Fran McCaffery confirmed Friday.
The series will begin in Atlanta this coming season, return to Albany the following year and then go back to Atlanta in 2011-12. The agreement is tentative pending the signing of a contract.
Georgia Tech is coached by Paul Hewitt, who spent three years in Loudonville and brought the Saints to one NCAA Tournament.
Brad Sheehan, a backup center from Shaker High, will be a senior for the Yellow Jackets when the teams would meet at Times Union Center.
