Former West Virginia reserve center Dee Proby has transferred to NAIA basketball power Oklahoma City University.

OCU coach Kevin Morrissey announced Proby's transfer on Monday.

The 6-foot-10 senior from Round Rock, Texas, played two seasons at Angelina (Texas) Junior College before transferring to West Virginia. Last season, he appeared in 18 games for the Mountaineers, averaging 1 point and 1.1 rebounds per game.

Proby originally committed to Oklahoma State after the two seasons at Angelina, but he was granted a release after former Cowboys coach Sean Sutton resigned in April 2008.

U.S. CRUSHES GREECE

Oklahoma State sophomore James Anderson scored 10 points and added two rebounds in just 12 minutes late Sunday night as the U.S. whipped Greece 108-77 in the World University Games men's basketball tournament. Anderson was 5-of-8 from the field as the Americans moved to 3-0 at the tournament in Belgrade, Serbia.

Dimitrios Verginis had 25 points for Greece, which trailed by five at halftime. The U.S. blew it open by outscoring Greece 31-15 in the third quarter.

The U.S. plays Serbia at 1 p.m. (Oklahoma time) today. Serbia beat the U.S. in a pre-tournament exhibition game.
