However, Monongalia County Magistrate Hershel Mullins said Bryant turned himself in Wednesday morning to face misdemeanor charges on four traffic offenses.
Warrants were issued for Bryant Tuesday for his alleged involvement in a July 4 incident, Mullins said.
Bryant was charged with failure to maintain control, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give information and failure to report an accident immediately.
Mullins said Bryant posted a personal recognizance bond of $4,200 - $2,000 each for leaving the scene and failure to give information and $100 each for failure to maintain control and failure to report an accident immediately.
Redshirt junior point guard Joe Mazzulla has been on indefinite suspension since April following an arrest for domestic battery. WVU's only other point guard on scholarship is seldom-used junior Will Thomas.
A 6-foot-2 native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Bryant averaged 9.8 points and 2.7 assists while shooting 37.7 percent from 3-point range as a freshman. Bryant played in all 35 games and started the final 28 after Mazzulla suffered what was ultimately a season-ending shoulder injury.
Bryant scored a career-high 22 points against Marshall, but that was in between scoreless games against Marquette and South Florida. He closed the season with 21 points and made 4 of 6 3-point attempts in the NCAA Tournament first-round loss to Dayton.
