"His representation of the program in the community and in the classroom is exemplary. We are very excited about his continued development as he assists in leading the Roadrunners in his senior season." Ryan Brown, meanwhile, becomes the second winner of the Big 3 Triple Threat Award. This award was established as one of the most coveted awards in 2008. It is dedicated in honor of Don Crabtree, Scott Hair, Rusty Lewis for their immeasurable support of the program along with establishing and connecting the foundation and value system of CSUB Basketball. The award recognizes performance athletically, academically and socially. Brown finished his second season at CSUB in 2009. He appeared in 18 games and shot a career-high 55 percent from the floor this season. He carries a 3.55 grade point average as a business administration major. A member of two honor societies, Brown will graduate with eligibility remaining and head for the master's program at DePaul University. "Ryan Brown depicts the work ethic on the floor and in the classroom that has earned complete respect and praise of everyone he touches," says Coach Brown. "Ryan is the definition of the consummate teammate. His contributions to the fiber and value system of the program have been tremendous over the last two seasons. " The year-end banquet capped the second full season of NCAA Division I competition for CSUB men's basketball. The Roadrunners will begin their final season of transition to full NCAA Division I status in November and are scheduled to become NCAA Tournament eligible on June 1, 2010.For more information please contact: Sarabjit Jagirdar, Email:- htsyndication@hindustantimes.com
