I know Hewitt to us farther than we ever went a few years back but this league is about "what have you done for me lately. <br /><br />I dont see Hewitt ever taking us far ever again. The problem with Tech is they are not a powerhouse in the ACC. Good players come here just because we are in the ACC. They know they are going to get good face time but they know its not about winning at the college level, its just about getting a 1st round selection. If we ever want to make a run in the ACC again we are going to have to go after kids who really want to graduate, even if that means getting less talent. I say all this because our almost championship season consisted of a starting five who had been there till there junior or sofemore year.

Thanks Cowbell...You said it. Hewitt may be a great recruiter, but when the rubber meets the road can the boys play under hewitts scheme?! Doesn't look like it. Tech is overdue for a turn around. The one hope I have for the future is atheletic director Dan Radakovich will replace Hewitt after next season if there is no performance. Hewitt has used up 8 of his lives. Radakovich comes from LSU and he is used to winning. He turned the football prgram around with hiring Paul Johnson, I'm sure he will do the same on the court before too long. <br /><br />He should go afte Crimmons while he is still coaching. Crimmons loves it here, he said it himself!

And unfortunately Hewitt will keep his job next year just because he's bringing in another good class. Truthfully I am shocked that such talent woudld go to Tech to play under Hewitt. Tech yes but Hewitt no. I love Tech but at best they'll fall into the middle of the ACC next year and still not make the NCAA tourney. I was and still am a big fan of Crimmons. I respect that Hewiit can recruit talent but he is not a good coach and Tech is losing opportunities from one year to the next with Hewitt in.<br /><br />Bring back Bobby.

as a unc fan i am going to say its sad how far tech has fallen. it was maybe 3-4 years ago i had them picked in my bracket to make the final 4 and maybe the title game. i think hewitt needs out. best of luck in the future hopefully you guys get it back together

I hate posting anything about Ga Tech good or bad but for goodness sakes... why does this man still have a job?<br /><br />The thing that makes it worse is he's going to keep his job for at least another year because he's got this kid comming in. This is so sad.

Our coach does not seem to have that edge he used to. we have a great upcoming freshman class, not to mention who we have now. If we dont get someone new in here we will have wasted a real good chance at an acc title next year.

James,<br /><br />You must not have saw our last couple games, we have definitely improved over the year. Last night was a heart breaker loss. First of all bud, we play in the ACC which is definitely the best b-ball conference. Look at our last couple games, NC State loss by 5, BC loss by 4, WF win by 2, FSU loss by 4 and last night by 1 to Maryland. Yes, we are young but I give credit to our guys for improving this year and hanging tight every game.

georgia tech has got to be one of the worst teams in college basketball
