Florida, Texas 1-2 in latest BCS standings
by FOXSports.com
In Florida's case, the Gators' 41-17 victory over Georgia merely solidified their hold on the top spot. Florida remained the No. 1-ranked team in the Harris, USA Today and computer polls, increasing its advantage in the latter two.
Texas, meanwhile, leapfrogged idle Alabama by virtue of its 41-14 rout of Oklahoma State (currently the 19th-ranked team in the BCS standings). The Longhorns enjoy a slight .006 lead over the third-ranked Tide, but it's difficult to envision an undefeated Texas team not getting an invite to Pasadena for the title game.
After continuing its charmed existence, Iowa remained at No. 4, but remained well behind the top three schools and just ahead of No. 5 Cincinnati.
At No. 6 and 7 are would-be BCS busters TCU and Boise State, who remain locked in a neck-and-neck battle for what is likely to be the lone berth awarded to a non-BCS team.
Oregon moved up just two spots from 10th to eighth despite likely ending USC's seven-year hold on the Pac-10 with a 47-20 win.
