Texas Lutheran University announced on Monday the resignation of Dennis Parker as football coach.

Parker will coach the team one last time on Saturday in the season finale at Mississippi College . His resignation will be effective Nov. 16.

Parker has posted a 6-23 record in three seasons at TLU, which is 0-9 this season and on a school-record 12-game losing streak.

UT's Johnson to start: Cody Johnson, who rushed 10 times for 44 yards and two touchdowns against Central Florida, will become the fourth Texas player to start at tailback this season. Longhorns coach Mack Brown said Johnson is the clear starter heading into Saturday's game at Baylor, with Fozzy Whittaker and Tre' Newton competing for time as the backup.

Lawrence a Groza semifinalist: UT kicker Hunter Lawrence, a senior from Boerne, has been named a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award, which honors the nation's best kicker. Lawrence is 16 of 19 on field-goal attempts and 41 of 42 on extra points this season.

PAC-10 reinstates Oregon's Blount: Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount, who was suspended for the season after punching a Boise State player in the wake of the season opener, has been allowed to rejoin the Ducks.

The university requested Blount's reinstatement, which was approved by Pacific-10 Conference commissioner Larry Scott.

Blount will be able to play for the No. 14 Ducks on Saturday night when they host Arizona State. He missed eight games.

Pike remains Cincinnati's starter: After a day of deliberation, Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly decided that Tony Pike will be his starting quarterback when he's healthy.

Sophomore backup Zach Collaros led the fifth-ranked Bearcats (9-0) to a 47-45 win over Connecticut last Saturday with the second-best passing performance in school history. Pike has missed the last three games after having surgery on his non-throwing forearm. It's unclear whether Pike will be ready to play against West Virginia on Friday night.

TCU gets first sellout in three years: Fourth-ranked TCU (9-0) has its first sellout since 2006 for Saturday's game against No. 16 Utah.

The last sellout at 44,358-seat Amon Carter Stadium came against Big 12 foe Texas Tech.

Utah (8-1) is the biggest remaining hurdle in TCU's pursuit of an undefeated season and possible BCS bid.

The Horned Frogs' subsequent two opponents are Wyoming (4-5) and New Mexico (0-9).

Memphis fires coach: Memphis fired coach Tommy West but asked him to stay through the end of the season.

The Tigers (2-7) have been to five bowl games in the past six years. West is 49-58 in his ninth season.

WKU fires Elson: Western Kentucky fired David Elson, though he will finish out the remainder of the Hilltoppers' first season in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

WKU (0-9) has a 17-game winless streak, the longest in the country.

Elson is 39-41 in seven seasons as coach of the Hilltoppers but is 1-23 against FBS schools over the last three seasons.

Wisconsin receiver suspended: Badgers wide receiver Maurice Moore has been indefinitely suspended by coach Bret Bielema following his arrest on suspicion of drunken driving over the weekend.

UCLA QB should play: Bruins quarterback Kevin Prince is expected to play at Washington State after showing no complications from a concussion.
