THIS WEEK'S GAME: Boston College at Wake Forest, Nov. 22 -- The Eagles took care of step one in their march toward a second straight ACC title game with last week's win at Florida State. Now, on to Wake, where BC has lost its last two. The Eagles, 7-6-2 all-time against Wake, are 1 1/2-point underdogs in this one, as BC looks to get to at least eight wins for an eighth straight season.

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

QB Chris Crane -- After two weeks with the reins on, the coaches turned him a bit loose last week and he responded. The fifth-year senior/first-year starter can no longer be considered a rookie so the excuses are gone, and he knows it.

RB Montel Harris -- The freshman wanted to show Florida State they made a mistake by letting a Florida kid out of the state and he stung the team he rooted for as a kid. It was his fourth 100-yard game of the season, and he wasn't on the depth chart at the start of the season.

LB Mark Herzlich -- Other guys have been making plays around him, but this is the leader of this talented BC defense. Just watch the number of times he comes across the field to make a play. Good news for BC he has no plans to leave after this, his junior year.

ROSTER REPORT:

--DT Jerry Willette is still not listed on the depth chart and would miss his third straight game with a knee injury that required arthroscopic surgery. He was officially listed as questionable.

--Converted QB Codi Boek is listed as the starter at FB for the second straight week but didn't play a down there last week, playing only on special teams. Converted LB Dan Williams is still listed as the backup.

--K Billy Bennett was still under indefinite team suspension for violation of rules.

--The Eagles have had a non-offensive touchdown each of the last five weeks; Rich Gunnell's punt return, Kevin Akins' 13-yard return with a recovered fumble, Roderick Rollins' scoop of Wes Jarvis's blocked punt and taking it in; Paul Anderson's 76-yard interception return and Marcellus Bowman's 87-yard romp with a pick last week.

--Florida State's Myron Rolle ended up on the BC sideline after a play last week and BC coach Jeff Jagodzinski grabbed him and wished him well on his Rhodes Scholarship interview set for Saturday afternoon in Alabama, while Florida State plays at Maryland. FSU had the use of a private jet approved for Rolle, and he's likely to play at some point in the second half in the pivotal game with the Terrapins.
