? THIS WEEK'S GAME: Texas is idle on Nov. 22.

? PLAYERS TO WATCH: QB Colt McCoy -- McCoy stands 30-7 as a starter and is tied with Vince Young (30-2) for most victories by a starting quarterback at Texas. McCoy has thrown a touchdown pass in 15 consecutive games.

? WR Jordan Shipley -- Shipley caught five passes in the Nov. 15 win at Kansas, bumping his season total to 75, which ranks second all-time at Texas behind Kwame Cavil, who had 100 receptions in 1999.

? WR Quan Cosby -- Cosby has 72 receptions and has caught a pass in 42 consecutive games, which is second on UT's all-time list and ranks fourth nationally.

? ROSTER REPORT:

? --S Blake Gideon suffered a head injury when he was flattened attempting to tackle Kansas RB Angus Quigley. Gideon left the game and was taken to a hospital, where tests were negative. He was replaced by S Christian Scott, who leveled Quigley with a big hit on the first play after Gideon left.

? --Several Texas defenders were not at full strength. CB Aaron Williams missed the game with the flu. DT Lamarr Houston played on a sore foot. And DE Brian Orakpo played just a few snaps as he continues to treat a sore knee. Houston and Orakpo are expected to heal in time for the Nov. 27 game against Texas A&M.

? --CB Chykie Brown returned against Kansas after missing the previous three games. Brown opened the Kansas game on special teams, but was summoned later on defense to account for injuries.
