NFL NOTES Benglas cut former Husker Kyle Larson

Larson has been the Bengals' punter for the past five seasons. He averaged 39.5 yards on 100 punts last season.

Former Mav Souder
signs with Saints
Former University of Nebraska at Omaha linebacker Jeff Souder has signed a free agent contract with the New Orleans Saints, according to the Maverick coaching staff.
Souder, 6-foot and 235 pounds, led UNO with 74 tackles, including seven for losses, and made the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association all-conference first team last season. He was the North Central Conference's most valuable linebacker in 2007.
Souder, from Bellevue West, spent one season playing special teams at Nebraska before transferring to UNO.
Ex-Cyclone
signs with Packers
AMES, Iowa --
Bibbs is the second Cyclone to earn a contractual invitation to an NFL camp. Offensive lineman Doug Diedrick signed with the Houston Texans on Monday.
Bibbs made 67 tackles during the past two seasons in 19 games. He also had 4 1/2 tackles for loss and two interceptions. Bibbs had a career-high nine tackles in the 2008 season opener against South Dakota State.
