SU FOOTBALL OPENER TO BE SHOWN ON ESPN2

The Doug Marrone era at Syracuse University will begin with a nationally televised game against Minnesota on ESPN2 at noon Sept. 5 in the Carrier Dome.
Then the Orange travels to State College , Pa., to face Penn State on Sept. 12 in another noon game. Seven of SU's first eight games are at home, including a Sept. 19 contest against Northwestern that will honor former head coach Dick MacPherson for his National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame induction.
