The Northern Arizona University football staff attracted over 140 athletes from seven states and more than 70 schools to their Skills Camp at Shadow Mountain High School on June 12. "We had a really good turnout," said assistant coach Francis St. Paul. "The last couple of years we have done this after our High Mountain Challenge so most people just stayed after the competition. We really enjoy this event. It gives us the opportunity to help some upcoming student-athletes." The event was designed to help upcoming high school juniors and seniors with skills at their specific position. NAU coaches were joined by former NFL Kicker Billy Cundiff (Dallas Cowboys) and former NAU players Roy Holmes (Strength and Conditioning/DB's) and Austin Martin (DB's) handling instruction. The clinic had players from Arizona, California, Utah, Iowa, Nevada, New Mexico and West Virginia. Former NAU players Travis Brown and Todd McMillan were both in attendance, as well as various Arizona high school and junior college coaches.
