I think the big game will be Akron

OSUbuck

OSU and Iowa are the teams to beat. MSU is the sleeper of the Big Ten. We will be waiting for the Hawk eyes and The Buckeyes at "The Greatest Show In College Football" Beaver Stadium. Then the Show down will be in the State of Michigan. The Big Game for all the marbles will be........PSU vs MSU!

joe

thanks for the update... ya never really know how well any team will do until the season gets under way! anyways... good luck this year! hope the big ten kicks a/s/s this year!

buck, hard to tell about MSU. We lost our scoring horses. Ringer and the place kicker along with WRers. I read about practice games that either we have a great run defense or lousy run game, or a great passing offense or lousy secondary. Go figure. I am pretty sure we are going to be more aerial this year than in the past with the 2 new QBs.

Janitor I dont have a ticket for another away game.I have a ticket to the Akron game and the ILL. game.Im coming up there to see it.Has anyone checked out the ESPN vote. Its the best college team in the state of Penn.PSUs 86 team was first then 82 then 68.Pitt had a total of 6% between all there teams together. The whole nation know whos the best college in the state!!!!!!!!!!!!!

joe

pryor will be much better this year... however we did lose alot of guys this year. i have heard the OL is is getting real good.. the mich. transfer to osu, boren is stepping up, and getting the OL pumped. we needed alot of help on the line.. our defense should be pretty good also. but who knows for sure. all i can do is hope for the best! ringer was real good... he was a work horse... so what's the news with mich st this year??

Janny, good thing I had a decent size tractor today. Had to move some pretty big boulders. Picked up some corrugated steel and a rattler shot out. He dead. I'm putting electrical on the grove. 400 amp service.

osubuck, looks like OSU should be pretty strong with a returning team and QB that should be outstanding. However, I am hoping you are wrong for the sake of the Big 10. Would really like to see us be a bit more competitive.

Janny, like I said above, either school would be cool. I heard MSU was high on his list, however, we have a couple of pretty good prospects, but one more would be cool. I would rather get some RBs that are solid at MSU. We lost a big one last year.

joefriday

As for Robert Bolden and PJ, Jones if all for the competition. He's got a "bring it on" kind of attitude towards the competition. As for Bolden alone, there's not really much else other than what Cory reported earlier in an Instant Update. Cory feels that if Bolden really does stay for 5 days than there's no way he doesn't commit. Bolden just said that there is a camp here, not that he'd compete in it. But staying for 5 days and not competiting doesn't make much sense so Cory assumes Bolden will compete. Cory said after his last visit Bolden was pretty high on PSU. Bolden is a pure QB to Cory. "He's got it all." If we got both Bolden and Jones, Cory feels we'd have the top QB class in the country by a mile.

Between Bolden and Jones, Cory feels Bolden is better right now but that Jones has more potential. Jones is sort of raw, but he is benefiting from camps and learning right now.

JoeFriday

This is the kid that MSU and PSU both want. With Newsome is true freshman and PJ Jones coming in I see this stud a Spartan.

Just got done texting with Robert Bolden. He visited MSU this weekend for one day. He is also visiting PSU from this coming Saturday through Wednesday. So a 5 day visit for Bolden. Certainly interesting.

PaMperKid

It was been 5 years, 5 months, 23 days since Pitt scored a point in a bowl game.(Oregon State 3 Pitt 0 ZZzz) Your alltime bowl record is 11-14!
The Lambert-Meadowlands Trophy(The Best Team In The East) you are tied with Syracuse for third with SIX and behind Army with 7. Yes Penn State leads with 27!

I rest my case!

joe

i don't see any team in the big ten giving tosu any losses this year..... penn st. will be good this year, but way to many players gone. not quite sure about how good illinois will be this year... just my opinion..

Janiturd....count how many of those Pitt opponents were bowl teams last year vs those on YOUR schedule...then comment.

Joe,
Earl went on to coach some great QBs at U Miami and became mayor of Davie, FL, where the Dolphins now hold their training camp. I golfed a few times at a course he used to have near there. Had a nice sports lounge with some memorabilia, as well as a pool that was nice to jump in after a round. I think you're right about the NC, Duffy came in 1954 so maybe he played a season for him too.

JohnU, Holy cow! No respect for Earl Huh? I forgot about him. He won a SB when JohnU was out. I saw him play also with the Dolphins. Good one JU. Hope we do't have to wait much longer for another one. I think he won an NC with Bigge Munn.

Joe,

The kid from Muskegon, Earl Morrall wasn't too bad. He was a starter on the Steelers at one time I believe, before his stints with Don Shula.

Janitor, I heard we had another QB coming to MSU. We have really never had a great QB that went on to the pros. We usually have linemen or LBs and recievers, but never a QB. That may change as we have some gret prospects.

WE Are

I never been to Illinois for a game but all away games are a blast. What is your other away game?

PJ Jones is nothing like an Athletic/QB. Not the athlete that M. Robinson or Newsome is. Maybe not in Clark class, but as a QB he might be the best ever to wear the Blue and White. He can throw the ball. PSU is also in the running for The QB from Michigan and he is a Athletic QB and it is down to MSU and PSU. He is coming over for 5 days next week. The inside deal is he likes MSU very much, but his Dad wants to check out PSU for the final time!

we are, I am naturally hoping for MSU to do well this year, and I'm sure everyone else is the same. But for some reason, when I read your post, I kind of hoped for a resurgence of the Big 10. Of course, after MSU wins it. LOL.
