We just recieved our 18th verbal commit for 2010. A linebacker who just recently attended Bountiful's All-Poly camp. He was awarded the most outstanding linebacker. This camp is for Polynesians... Coaches from 30 different schools attend this yearly and continues to grow... So that award is saying something.<br /><br />Stonewalker- 11-1 is absolutely doable. Especially if our schedule is set up for it like this year. All our tough games(minus OU) are at home... Something I can live with.<br /><br />JLPTN- I LIKE IT ;)<br /><br />beagle- I hope we're under the radar with them. Something tells me we aren't... Especially after what Utah did to Bama. You are right about UNM. They are always tough on us. Like Air Force to Utah.

They can be beat, especially if they are looking ahead and take a team lightly. CU took advantage of that and beat them in 2008. So it can be done, but it won't be easy.<br />I take it that BYU will be the MWC favorite. The conference schedule is very, very, very favorable. Utah, AFA, TCU and up and coming CSU all @ home. Just that pesky UNM squad who always plays their hearts out against BYU is on the road.

It's been a really good thing for the Cougs that the highly-touted recruits are bringing their friends and teammates with them. One of the reasons that big-name recruits fail to perform as well as expected is that, at the high school level they played with their budies and the combo worked exceptionally well. Once the come to college, however, their usual recievers and teammates are different, and that usually means they won't perform as well until they get used to their new teammates.<br />By getting their 'mates to come along with them, these recruits are going to have an easier time transitioning; and that's emotionally, socially, and on the field.

I keep finding more 3 and 4 star recruits being offered and interested in our program.<br /><br />Jake Heaps, Ross Apo, and Zack Stout are doing more recruiting than what our coaches could ever do AND those three are our new administrative changes that you're asking about. Our coaches have been going after these LDS players but haven't been able to land any until now, and it's been a snowball effect. Ross Apo(Arlington Texas) recruited(verbals) two others from his high school just this past week. Jake Heaps has been talking with a few WR's he's been in contact with and more non-LDS players are now interested.<br /><br />Devil- How are you? I need to visit your site more often huh?
