If Texas does get past Wake Forest in the first round, the Longhorns will get a shot at Kentucky.

A year ago, the Spartans went to the national title game and Izzo returned the majority of his club. However, he desperately misses guard Travis Walton and his leadership and also the versatility of big man Goran Suton. There have been suspensions, benchings and other issues that made the Spartans difficult to assess entering the tournament.

Such is the case with the win against Syracuse and the home victories against Duke and Villanova. But there were also plenty of duds -- the home losses to Old Dominion, South Florida and Notre Dame to go along with the road setback at Rutgers.

These are the two most talented teams in the country and it would also be a rematch of sorts from the title game from a couple years ago between Bill Self and John Calipari when the Wildcats coach was at Memphis. It would be Sherron Collins against John Wall, Cole Aldrich against DeMarcus Cousins and no shortage of other storylines since Xavier Henry and the Morris Twins were all at one time heading to play for Calipari at Memphis.
