WHAT WE LEARNED IN NOVEMBER: Boise State will get significant help from its junior college recruiting class. Guard Westly Perryman, forward Daequon Montreal and forward Robert Arnold (who arrived last January and redshirted), each averaged better than 20 minutes a game though six November contests. They nicely fill out Boise State's eight- or nine-man rotation and give coach Greg Graham options if he wants to shake up the lineup, which he did in late November.

DECEMBER AT A GLANCE: Boise State doesn't often get to play a BCS conference opponent, so the Dec. 5 game at Illinois was going to be a good experience one way or another. It's hard to see senior point guard Anthony Thomas out of the starting lineup for too long, but he seems to have his head on right regardless of whether he starts the game on the floor or not. Can the Broncos find another shooter before conference play? The newcomers don't see to be able to help much in that area yet.

PLAYER ROTATION: Usual Starters -- G La'Shard Anderson, G Westly Perryman, SF Robert Arnold, PF Ike Okoye, C Kurt Cunningham. Key Subs -- PG Anthony Thomas, SF Paul Noonan, F Daequon Montreal.

ROSTER REPORT:

--Chris Kupets, a 5-11 guard from Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas, signed with Boise State in November. He began his college career at East Carolina. "Chris gives us a scoring guard who can play both the one and the two," said coach Greg Graham. "His ability to play in the open court and score will fit in nicely with our speed game."

--Ben Mills, a 7-1, 220-pound big man from Arrowhead High School in Hartland, Wis., signed with the Broncos during the fall signing period. He averaged 13.8 points and 9.2 rebounds as a junior, when he also shot 36 percent from 3-point range.

--Bryn Prinsloo, a 6-10, 235-pound post from Mesa (Ariz.) College signed with the Broncos in early December. He will have three seasons of eligibility at Boise State because he redshirted last season due to injury.
