--The Bulls look to replace All-MAC point guard Greg Gamble with senior John Boyer, who was Gamble's backup last season. Boyer averaged 2.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game last year, with 52 assists and only 29 turnovers

--Senior forward Max Boudreau finished 2008-09 with a bang, making the All-Tournament Team at the MAC Tournament after averaging 14 points in Buffalo's three games. He had a career-best 21 in a semifinal win over Ball State.

KEY EARLY-SEASON CONFERENCE GAME: vs. Miami, Jan. 9 -- This will be the first of five straight games against MAC East Division opponents, and a key opportunity to get the jump in the conference race. The Bulls are one of the defending champions in the division, but graduation losses will make it necessary for them to re-establish their position early, and with resonance.
