--Charlotte has only two players with a scoring average in double figures but has had eight different players score in double digits in a game at least once through the first six games. Six 49ers are averaging at least 7.2 points a game.

--Charlotte is off to a 5-1 start for the first time since 2000-01.

KEY EARLY-SEASON CONFERENCE GAME: at Xavier, Jan. 13. The 49ers will get a strong indication if they are ready to move into the Atlantic 10's elite when they visit the conference standard bearer in their second A-10 game. The Musketeers will likely be looking for revenge on their home court after Charlotte stunned them at home last season.

LAST YEAR'S CONFERENCE RECORD: 5-11, 12th place in the Atlantic 10.
