WHAT WE LEARNED IN NOVEMBER: Colorado was solid at home, improving to 4-0 with a Dec. 1 win against San Francisco. The Buffaloes actually clicked like home teams should in that 78-54 rout, shooting 61.5 percent in the first half and then making their first six shots in the second half to gain complete command. If the Buffs can somehow turn the benign Coors Events Center into a homecourt advantage, they'll quickly become an opponent Big 12 teams can no longer take for granted.

DECEMBER AT A GLANCE: The most difficult game of the month involves a trip to Oregon State on Dec. 4 as part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series. The Buffs also play a true road game at Colorado State on Dec. 10. The hard part to navigate for Jeff Bzdelik and his coaching staff is a 12-day layoff before a Dec. 22 home game against Cal State Northridge. Colorado plays just two games in 22 days following the Colorado State visit.

PLAYER ROTATION: Usual Starters -- F Austin Dufault, F Marcus Relphorde, G Alec Burks, G Cory Higgins, G Dwight Thorne. Key Subs â¿¿- G Nate Tomlinson, C Shane Harris-Tunks, G Javon Coney, G Levi Knutson.

ROSTER REPORT:

--G Cory Higgins ran his string of starts at Colorado to 70, every game the junior has played for the Buffaloes, with the Dec. 1 win against San Francisco. He made his first eight shots and finished with 20 points, his season average.

--Higgins is part of a quintet that formed the same starting lineup for Colorado in its first seven games.

--C Shane Harris-Tunks made the first eight shots he attempted on the season before missing against San Francisco. The 6-11 freshman is from Australia.
