With the arrival of postseason tournaments, several local golfers sit high in various team and individual rankings. The Oklahoma State men's team is ranked No. 1 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin Performance Index entering the Big 12 Championships to be held Monday through Wednesday at Prairie Dunes Golf & Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan. The Cowboys have won two of their last three tournaments and are looking for their third straight Big 12 title and 52nd conference crown overall. Individually for OSU, freshman Morgan Hoffmann is ranked No. 3, sophomore Rickie Fowler is No. 8, senior Trent Leon is No. 13, junior Trent Whitekiller is No. 31 and sophomore Kevin Tway is No. 60. (In the world amateur rankings, Fowler is No. 1, Tway is tied for No. 18, Hoffmann is tied for 26th.) Hoffmann and Leon have been named to this year's U.S. Palmer Cup team, which will be held June 3-5 at Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver. The OSU women, who lead going into today's final round of the Big 12 Championships in Lubbock, Texas, are ranked No. 4 nationally. For the Cowgirls, freshman Caroline Hedwall is No. 10, senior Pernilla Lindberg is No. 29 and freshman Caroline Masson is No. 40. Oklahoma senior Kendall Dye is No. 88. In the NAIA men's rankings, Oklahoma Christian has been No. 1 for four straight rankings. Oklahoma City University is No. 3, Oklahoma Baptist is No. 6 and Southern Nazarene is tied for 17th. Fresh off their astounding 59-stroke victory in the SAC Championships at Lincoln Park, the OCU women are a unanimous No. 1 pick, while SNU is No. 14. In the national junior amateur rankings, Carl Albert High School's Talor Gooch is ranked No. 12, Putnam City's Logan McCracken is No. 29 and Enid's Chris Worrell is No. 46. Elsewhere →The Shiloh Summer Camp Pro/Celebrity Scramble will be held Monday at Gaillardia Country Club. Registration is 7-7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8.
