WHAT WE LEARNED IN NOVEMBER: It is going to take first-year coach Mark Fox time to get this program headed back in the right direction. Early losses to Wofford, by three points at home, and by 16 at Alabama-Birmingham are an indication of exactly how far the Bulldogs have fallen since their surprising SEC tournament title in 2008.

DECEMBER AT A GLANCE: The Bulldogs have a three-game stretch coming up that would test almost any team in the country. They have Virginia Tech on the road, improved St. John's in New York in the SEC-Big East Invitational, and Illinois in Duluth, Ga.

PLAYER ROTATION: Usual Starters -- F Trey Thompkins, F Travis Leslie, C Albert Jackson, G Ricky McPhee, G Dustin Ware. Key Subs -- F Chris Barnes, F Jeremy Price, F Drazen Zlovaric, G Vincent Williams, G DeMario Mayfield.

ROSTER REPORT:

--Sophomore F Trey Thompkins' 16 rebounds against Wofford were the most for a Bulldog player in nearly eight years, going back to the 16 boards Chris Daniels snared against South Alabama on Dec. 15, 2001.

--Senior C Albert Jackson was slowed by a broken bone in his non-shooting hand in the early going. He didn't start until Dec. 1, when the Bulldogs were host to St. Louis.
