Iowa State big man Brackins will return to school

Iowa State's talented sophomore big man Craig Brackins is returning to school. "I had a lot of time to think about this and felt there was something empty inside. Something was missing," Brackins said. "I feel like I have not accomplished everything I wanted to achieve at Iowa State. It was a tough decision, but I am excited about returning and equally determined to make sure we are successful next season." Brackins, a California native who was, according to multiple NBA executives, a sure-fire first-round pick in June's NBA Draft, has decided to not even test the waters and declare without an agent. The 6-foot-10 Brackins averaged 20.2 points and 9.5 rebounds per game this past season and could work his way into the upper portion of the lottery with a strong season this year. Brackins was a first-team All-Big 12 pick, will be the leading returning scorer in the conference and also an honorable mention All-American.
