Jeremy Ingram scored 26 points and North Carolina Central rebounded from an abysmal offensive performance to down South Carolina State 71-52 Monday night in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference action.
The Eagles (18-7, 11-1) had their 11-game winning streak snapped by Savannah State 44-36 on Saturday when they shot just 30.8 percent from the field.
North Carolina Central bounced back by making 49 percent (25 of 51) Monday, including 8 of 13 from 3-point range. Ingram led the way on 9-of-14 shooting, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range. Stanton Kidd added 13 points, Ray Willis 11 and Emanuel Chapman had 10 assists as the Eagles nearly doubled their offensive output from the Savannah State loss.
