WHAT WE LEARNED IN NOVEMBER: Oklahoma State couldn't have enjoyed the first month of the season any more, gliding to a 6-0 start by winning the Las Vegas Invitational. Reality quickly set in with an 86-65 loss at Tulsa, a cruel Dec. 2 blowout that should have alerted the Cowboys to potential problems on defense and the boards. F Matt Pilgrim showed the capability of providing some much-needed inside bulk during the November run.

DECEMBER AT A GLANCE: The schedule intensified with the short trip to Tulsa, which looked every bit like a Conference USA title contender the way it manhandled the Cowboys. Another trip looms on Dec. 16 to Stanford, as well as a game in Uncasville, Conn., against Rhode Island on Jan. 2. Wins against Bradley and Utah at the Las Vegas Invitational will help the RPI, but Oklahoma State could use another decent nonconference win to keep that rating at a decent level with a solid Big 12 showing.

PLAYER ROTATION: Usual Starters -â¿¿ F Obi Muonelo, F Marshall Moses, G James Anderson, G Keiton Page, G Ray Penn. Key Subs â¿¿- F Matt Pilgrim, G Nick Sidorakis, G Fred Gulley, F Roger Franklin.

ROSTER REPORT:

--G Nick Sidorakis made his season debut at Tulsa after missing the first six games with a strained patella tendon in his right knee. The game served as a homecoming for Sidorakis, who attended high school in the Tulsa area.

--C Teeng Akol remains out indefinitely with a broken right wrist he suffered in preseason camp.

--G James Anderson was named the Most Valuable Player of the Las Vegas Invitational after scoring a game-high 26 points against Utah. His string of consecutive double-digit scoring games reached 20 against Tulsa, though he managed just 10 points on 3-for-15 shooting.
