WHAT WE LEARNED IN NOVEMBER: The Ducks are better than a year ago, which in itself isn't saying much. They played five home games in the opening month, winning four of them, and lost 88-81 on the road to a Portland team that beat UCLA by 27 points. This was mostly a warm-up month that didn't reveal much.

DECEMBER AT A GLANCE: Oregon will be seriously challenged Dec. 5 at Missouri in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series, then plays five home games before the start of the conference schedule. The Dec. 12 matchup with Saint Mary's will afford the Ducks a chance to avenge last year's 78-73 win by the Gaels.

PLAYER ROTATION: Usual Starters -- G LeKendric Longmire, G Teondre Williams, G Tajuan Porter, F Joevan Catron, C Michael Dunigan. Key Subs -- G Malcolm Armstead, G Garrett Sim, F Jamil Wilson.

ROSTER REPORT:

--Sophomore G Teondre Williams led the Ducks with 19 points against Montana State, the only Oregon player to have scored in double figures in every game this season.

--Freshman F E.J. Singler made his first career start vs. Montana State and responded with eight points and seven rebounds.
