WHAT WE LEARNED IN NOVEMBER: Seton Hall can beat up bad teams. Take away the 10-point victory at Cornell -- which is much more impressive than it sounds -- and a season-opening squeaker over St. Peter's, and the Pirates beat Monmouth by 15, Long Island University by 39 and New Jersey Institute of Technology by 40.

DECEMBER AT A GLANCE: The December schedule heats up a bit, with home games against Massachusetts and Temple. But the team won't really get a sense of how good it is until West Virginia and Syracuse come to Newark at the end of the month.

PLAYER ROTATION: Usual Starters -- F Robert Mitchell, F Herb Pope, C John Garcia, G Jeremy Hazell, G Eugene Harvey. Key Subs -- G Jordan Theodore, G Jamel Jackson, F Ferrakohn Hall.

ROSTER REPORT:

--Freshman center Melvyn Oliver was "temporarily removed from the team" in late November in order to concentrate on academics. He had played a total of four minutes over the Pirates' first two games.

--Missouri transfer Keon Lawrence did not play in November as part of the discipline for car accident on the Garden State Parkway. The guard was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. It was unclear when he would be allowed to play, though he still was a part of the program and was on the bench for the team's 5-0 start.

--Seton Hall signed two players during the early signing period. Guard Jesse Morgan and forward Fuquan Edwin will join the team for the 2010-11 season.
