WHAT WE LEARNED IN NOVEMBER: Temple shares the ball really well. In fact, Western Michigan coach Steve Hawkins called them one of the best passing teams he's even seen. The problem? Sure, they always make the extra pass, but don't always shoot well. In the Owls' two losses, by one point at Georgetown and by seven to unbeaten St. John's, they hit just 32 and 28 percent of their shots, respectively.

DECEMBER AT A GLANCE: Still kicking themselves after letting Georgetown off the hook in November, and losing a chance at a signature win in the process, Temple needs to notch some RPI-helping wins. The opportunities are there as Temple plays 2009 NIT champ Penn State (Dec. 5), 2009 NCAA Final Four team Villanova (Dec. 13) and Seton Hall (Dec. 19) between now and Christmas -- and then host No. 1 Kansas on Jan. 2.

PLAYER ROTATION: Usual Starters -- F Lavoy Allen, F Craig Williams, G Ryan Brooks, G Juan Fernandez, G Juan Guzman. Key Subs -- C Micheal Eric, G Ramone Moore, F Rahlir Jefferson.

ROSTER REPORT:

--Junior Craig Williams (6.6 ppg), who had a season-high 14 points in the Western Michigan win on Dec. 1, has started the last three games in place of 6-11 sophomore Micheal Eric (5.2 ppg), who sprained his knee against Ball State (Nov. 17) and is expected to return to the Owls' lineup shortly.

--Sophomore Ramone Moore (6.7 ppg) and freshman Rahlir Jefferson (4.9 ppg) provide the Owls a lift off the bench.

--Fran Dunphy inked two high school stars during the early-signing period: 6-4 guard Aaron Brown, a three-year starter from national prep powerhouse St. Benedict's Prep School in Newark, N.J., and 6-9 Anthony Lee from West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Fla.
