Denard's first pitch comes up short

But when Robinson threw out the first pitch before Tuesday’s Tigers-Blue Jays game at Comerica Park, he spiked it about five feet in front of the plate.
“Terrible!” said Robinson, who smiled and laughed it off. “Just horrible, man. I tried to baby it up there. They told me not to throw it too hard, and I didn’t even throw it to the plate.”
While walking off the field and through a tunnel behind home plate, Robinson added, “It’s all good, though.”
Robinson said he hasn't been throwing for NFL scouts because he likely won't get drafted as a quarterback. He's been auditioning as a receiver, returner and defensive back.
He claims the ulnar-nerve damage that kept him from throwing late in the season isn't a problem now.
“I can throw just fine,” Robinson said.
Apparently, just not a baseball.
