Napoli agreed to a two-year, $32 million deal with the Red Sox on Friday, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
Napoli will return to Boston following his impressive performance in a championship season. He put to rest concerns over the durability of his hip issue and thrived at Fenway Park, knocking a career-high 38 doubles and had 23 home runs with 92 RBI. He can lock down first base for the Red Sox for the near future and could eventually transition towards the designated hitter spot.
